Our pancakes

Little bites of fluffiness

Introducing our Dutch mini pancakes

Our little pancakes are otherwise known as Poffertjes (poff-er-ches) in the Netherlands and you’ll find them being served as a typical street food snack. Being a Dutch/British family we love the idea of bringing these parcels of fluffiness to our local area in the Cotswolds.

The purists sprinkle them with powdered sugar adding a knob of butter to melt all over the pancakes. That option is truly delicious but we’ve created other toppings that make a perfect combo. Here are some ideas and inspiration about how to enjoy yours along with how you can freeze them in portions to enjoy whenever the mood takes you!!

Pancake & Ice cream stack:

Pile up the pancakes in between scoops of your favourite ice cream and sprinkle with grated choclate shavings or candy sprinkles.

Pancake sticks:

Choose some of your favourite fruits and create a skewer with a combo of pancakes and fruit. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with Nutella or chocolate sauce.

Savoury stacks:

Sprinkle grated cheese and bacon bits over the pancakes and put under the grill until the cheese has melted and enjoy a savoury snack.

Decorate your own:

Pile the pancakes up in the middle of your plate. Fill up a few ramekins with sprinkles, cream, ice cream, smarties and let the kids go wild with creating their own combo! Squeezy sauces are also a great option!

The pancakes are freshly baked in our Cheltenham cafe ready to be enjoyed. They can be ordered as a takeaway box to enjoy at home. As they freeze really well, they’re perfect to keep as a quick dessert option for the family as you can reheat from frozen in the oven or microwave.
